Contrarreloj: desde Foligno el Giro va a Montefalco. Hace mucho tiempo los italianos odiaban estas carreras, especialmente en la década de 1990, cuando Miguel Indurain ganava todas las contrarreloj contra Gianni Bugno y Claudio Chiappucci y luego defendiendo el primer puesto en la salida. Hoy en día todo ha cambiado y Vincenzo Nibali espera el contrarreloj para recuperar la desventaja acumulada en la escalada de Blockhaus por Nairo Quintana. Tantos vatios generados ayer por los corredores en el ascenso, y gracias a SPH Cycling es fácil ver la potencia expresada.
